Zayn Malik‘s cover of “No Type” isn’t the only secret project the former One Direction singer has under his belt — in fact, the Bradford Bad Boy recorded a music video to go along with it! In a new interview with IBTimes UK, the rap duo Krept & Konan said that they filmed a video set to his leaked cover.
“We’ve done a little cover with [Malik] and we shot a video but it just didn’t end up coming out because it didn’t get finished,” Konan said.
“After that we heard the news about [Malik quitting One Direction]. But it was a while before though, it was just a muck around thing. It wasn’t really nothing too serious.”
Though they were just messing around, we still want to see this video! Konan’s collaborator says that we’ll probably see it in time.
“We was chilling with him and Naughty Boy in the studio the majority of the time, just catching jokes. We were just messing around one day and made the cover. I have a feeling the video will just get leaked somehow,” Krept added.
In fact, the group even hinted that they may leak the footage themselves.
“I feel like a lot of energy is around him right now because of the situation and a lot of people want to see what he’s going to do next,” Konan continued. “He’s got ammunition sitting there with Krept and Konan.”
Since Mic Righteous, the rapper on the cover, leaked Zayn’s song because the 1D guy reportedly cannot release new music for the next two years, we’re wondering if people are just going to leak Zayn’s stuff left and right. Naughty Boy probably won’t be too pleased!
