Apart from being part of the same industry, there is a lot which is common between these two actors. Read on to know what exactly we are trying to say…

Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan are currently basking in the glory of their recent releases which have not only done well at the box office but have even managed to impress Bollywood bigwigs. While Ms Sharma’s first production venture NH10 which hit the screens last Friday is going steady at the ticket windows courtesy strong word-of-mouth, Varun starrer Badlapur has already crossed the Rs 50 crore mark at the domestic box office. Well, with NH10 and Badlapur, both Anushka and Jr Dhawan have proved the following…

With Badlapur, Varun broke his chocolate boy, romantic hero image and proved how versatile he is as an actor. In fact, he took a risk by playing a 40-year-old in the film and it paid off in the end and how! Same is the case with Anushka and her latest film NH10. With Navdeep Singh directorial, the leggy beauty shed away her girl-next-door image and showed us she can pack a powerful punch and kick few as#$% too.

In a time where we keep hearing stories about actors signing big budget films, Anushka and Varun went ahead and did a small budget film. Their films have worked wonders at the BO and even B-townies couldn’t stop raving about it. Guess these two have proved that’s it content and talent that matters more than anything else.

Lastly, both these actors dared to release their film during ICC Cricket World Cup. Usually, filmmakers avoid releasing their films during this period but Varun and Anushka’s films weren’t delayed. In fact, the release of Hero remake and Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! was postponed due to World Cup 2015. Since cricket is considered a religion in India, Bollywood more often or not stays away from clashing with it. But this time Virat Kohli’s ladylove and David Dhawan’s son proved otherwise. Despite India doing so well in the World Cup, movie buffs came out to watch Badlapur and NH10. Again that just shows good films will always do well no matter what.
