Justin BIeber made headlines earlier this year when he apologized to his fans on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and during his Comedy Central Roast. And the singer wants fans to know that he was being genuine.

During a recent interview with Hero magazine, Justin admitted that he feels really bad about his past behavior.

“I hope people felt the sincerity in my apologies. There are a lot of things that have happened in the last couple years that I’m not very proud of and I feel a responsibility to my fans and to the public who believe in me to make it right. I hope everyone believed it – because it was honest,” he said.

Apparently he wanted to explain himself after some of his major incidents occurred (he was arrested in Miami and egged his neighbor’s house) but didn’t want to give into the gossip.

“It’s definitely hard having so many people judge you from a distance. Sometimes you just want to explain yourself, but then that’s giving into gossip and it makes things worse. It’s a tough line to walk,” he said.

We’re glad Justin’s apologies were sincere, and we hope that he continues to clean up his image.
