Bandra police tried to find the constable, who is known only by his buckle number 2985, but they could not trace him
Salman Khan’s 2002 hit and run case is taking new twists and turns with every trial. According to the claims made by Mumbai police, the constable who accompanied the Kick actor after his arrest is untraceable.
Yes, the constable in question was supposed to be examined as the next witness, but since he has gone missing now, another police officer would be called to depose before the court instead.
Confirming the news, public prosecutor Pradeep Gharat said, “The constable could not be traced in such a short period and we do not want to delay the trial so we have decided to call a police sub-inspector in place of that constable. The PSI along with that constable had accompanied Salman to the JJ Hospital from Bandra police station.”
Gharat also added that the Bandra magistrate court, which was conducting the trial on an earlier stage, had recorded the sub-inspector’s evidence.
Meanwhile, the prosecution on Tuesday submitted the statement of the RTO officer, who said that at the time of the accident Khan did not have a driving licence.
With all of this, seems like a final verdict on Salman Khan’s hit and run case won’t be out any time soon!
