The second song of Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet is finally out

After building the anticipation over the week, the second song from Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet is out for the world to see. Though the film’s trailer received mixed response, the first song from the film FiFi managed to grab the attention of fans. Now, the makers have rolled out the next song titled Mohabbat Buri Bimari, which has been one of the most highly awaited songs this year.

So how is the new song from Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma starrer Bombay Velvet? I took a sneak peak into the song and this is what I thought of it:

First lets just talk about the music of the song. Composed by Amit Trivedi and mixed by Mickey McCleary, the song has a very 60′s feel to it just like the trailer of the film. Mohabbat Buri Bimari has some impressive use of tuba and saxaphones as Shalmali Kholgade voice adds an edgy feel to the song. Now talking about the picturisation of the song, full marks to Mr Kashyap for recreating the club scene of the late 60′s where he manages to add an mafiaso twist to it with gun wielding men ready to shoot. Anushka Sharma as Rosie Noronha looks smashing in golden dress, singing with some style. Speaking of style we have to mention Ranbir Kapoor, who donning a black suit and wielding a gun, looks impressive as he seems keen to pick up a fight at the club and put his gun to use. There is also a hot sequence in bed with the two lead actors. Karan Johar also gives us a glimpse in the song.
